So I saw there are windows, and mac versions of an add-on that does this, but they cost 17 euro a pop, so here's one for much less than that.

Because I work with .STEP a lot at a client gig, I know how trivial it is to make this add-on so, here it is.

It should be cross platform and pretty much work out of the box, no C++ dependencies etc required, no occt back-end.

## Usage

1. buy the add-on
2. download the .zip for your system (windows/mac/arm-mac/linux etc)
3. install the add-on as you normally would.
4. file -> import -> Step file
5. Pick the .STEP file you want
6. DONE! profit?
